Position Summary: Seasonal Full-Time position for highway construction company located in Shakopee, MN. Typical Season runs from April – November each year. Projects are primarily located in the Metro and South Metro areas. Our company is in Shakopee, MN and does operate through unions and works on certified/prevailing wage projects.

Requirements/Qualifications: Ability to lead/organize skilled workers, use and direct the use of heavy highway equipment pertinent to the industry, as well as with light equipment/tools, use packaged software on tablet, understand construction document requirements and blueprints to a sufficiently high degree, accepted knowledge of construction methods for the industry.

2+ years’ foreperson experience in civil/highway construction + at least 2+ years’ highway heavy equipment operating experience, Proficient with computers, and Microsoft Excel and HCSS-Heavy Job-Heavy Bid experience preferred, Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, Assist with construction staking, operating total station, data collectors, transits, levels, GPS, survey equipment, Ability to walk/climb through and over rough terrain & carry up to 30 lbs., High School Diploma or Equivalent, Valid Class D Driver License – Class A License w/ Tank Endorsement Preferred, Valid Medical Exam/CMV Certification, Good Driving Record, Weekend Availability When Project Requires

$46.25/hour - $51.25/hour – Negotiable based on experience + Union Benefits according to your membership agreement or Non-Union Company Benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Health Savings Account, Short & Long-Term Disability Insurance, AD & D / Life Insurance, 401k with Safe Harbor Match up to 4% of gross, ESST-PTO up to 48-hours/year, Potential Bonus based on project and company profitability, company vehicle or vehicle allowance, company tablet and cell phone.
