The

is organized and detail-oriented playing a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules and baselines. This position involves resource loading, critical path analysis, and tracking progress on major milestones while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures. The Project Planner will proactively address risks and trends, review contracts and change requests to align schedules and budgets, and contribute to the integrated project schedules. Additionally, they will produce and evaluate project metrics, including earned value reports, to support informed decision-making for Project and Program Managers as well as be key contributors to the Month End Reporting and Phase Gate process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain project schedules and baselines, incorporating resource loading, critical path analysis, and progress tracking & monitoring of major milestones.

- Analyze and validate schedule statuses, identify trends, and provide proactive recommendations to address risks and concerns.

- Support the development of change requests to ensure alignment with implementation schedules and budgets.

- Collaborate on integrated project schedules by coordinating Program and contractor schedules, including milestones for planned and unplanned outage work.

- Produce and evaluate project metrics, such as earned value reports, to support effective decision-making for Project and Program Managers.

- Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

- This knowledge is normally acquired through the successful completion of a three-year college diploma in an appropriate field (e.g. engineering, business administration, computer science) or by having the equivalent level of education and experience.

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project implementation role (including construction), with proven experience in managing schedules and baselines.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

- Experience with project controls tools, including but not limited to Primavera P6, Eco Sys, Active Risk Manager (ARM), and the Microsoft suite of tools (incl Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Power BI).

- PMI - Project Management Institute or AACE - Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers International Certification is considered an asset.
