STARTING SALARY: $68,700 - $140,000 Salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Summary Purpose
Under the general oversight of the Director- Business Development, this position is responsible for supporting the advancement of the Company’s development projects and programs that drive growth in EPE’s service territory. This is a start to finish problem solving role that includes overall project analytics, technical feasibility, trending and benchmarking, business case development, development of Requests of Proposals (RFPs), management of project development, management of internal and external consultants, SMEs, and stakeholders, and program implementation. The Business Development team will drive activities and resources to generate business opportunities, increase revenue streams, provide on-time and cost-effective delivery of services, and ensure Company goals are attained. You will provide creative solutions to conventional utility challenges and push projects forward and maintain momentum of existing efforts with a future forward mentality.
EDUCATION
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Environmental Sciences, Economics, or other related degree.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Experience with an electric utility, preferred in at least one of the following areas: transmission, substation, generation, planning, regulatory, emergent technologies, or distribution.
•Experience in project management, including creating and executing work plans, project schedules, identifying resource requirements, management of daily project operations, leveraging influence to drive results, and project budget and close-out.
•Experience in process improvement-related work, including analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, and presentation and reporting.
•Knowledge of project financial analyses, business case and strategic plan development, and costs/benefits evaluation practices and procedures.
•Ability to assess and document status quo conditions and to ascertain and recommend actions for process improvements.
•Ability to identify, quantify and present risks, costs and benefits associated with projects, and issues.
•Ability to utilize GIS and spatial analysis tools for evaluation, presentation, and project analysis.
•Ability to research and analyze information related to electric utility system principles and practices, operations, and applicable rules and regulations.
•Knowledge in work process analysis and reengineering methodologies.
•Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
•Ability to generate credibility with and to present information to management regarding solutions to complex issues.
•Ability to perform, direct, and communicate complex technical studies with little or no technical supervision.
•Experience integrating cross-functional solutions into complex business operations
•Strong negotiation skills to influence and persuade others to build consensus to achieve project goals.
•Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
Essential Job Functions
•Assist with large load customer projects and initiatives, not limited to; transmission, substation, planning, regulatory, distribution, financial analysis, spatial and GIS analysis, necessary to inform strategies, timing, and costs necessary to serve these customers.
•Develop strategies, projects, and programs that support the Company’s position regarding large load customers and associated generation and transmission
•Conduct cost/benefit and project financial analyses while developing business cases for new clean energy initiatives
•Prepare or review and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate bids and select vendors and technologies that meet RFP requirements.
•Establish and support internal and external relationships that facilitate timely answers to questions that arise from large load customers.
•Maintain a valid driver’s license and follow the Company’s Driving Program policy.
•Ensure the enforcement of and compliance with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations including employment, safety, and environmental standards and regulations
