Our client, a well-established ngineering firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence and teamwork, is seeking a Project Manager - Water / Wastewater Engineering to join their collaborative team in Virginia.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the planning, design, and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, as well as pumping, treatment, and storage facilities.
- Leading project delivery efforts—from scope development through permitting, design, and construction oversight.
- Overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams and subconsultants to ensure quality, efficiency, and technical excellence.
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication and timely project execution.
- Supporting business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, presentations, and participation in industry events.
- Monitoring project budgets, schedules, and financial performance to achieve business objectives.
- Mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the design and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects, clients, and technical teams.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling, treatment processes, or storage facility design (preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
