We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hydro Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is critical in managing the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of hydro generating projects while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Depending on experience, this position may be performed remotely, with regular travel to project sites.
- Project Leadership: Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and timelines in alignment with Hydro Tech and client expectations.
- Engineering Oversight: Coordinate the design and review of hydro-mechanical components and systems.
- Field Supervision: Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory partners.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure deliverables meet technical, safety, and ISO 45001/45003 health and safety standards.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide clear updates to clients and management on progress, risks, and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in hydro generating projects (design, construction, commissioning).- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage complex technical projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel; Primavera P6 experience considered an asset.
- Valid Class G driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
- Must currently reside in and be legally employable in Canada.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
