We are looking for a qualified Project Manager with a strong background in vegetation management and/or telecommunications to lead high-impact projects. Project Manager responsibilities include working closely with project team to update, track and prepare reports for project tracking of status, budget, and action items. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with proven success managing complex initiatives, facilitating productive discussions, and driving team accountability to meet project deliverables on time. You will perform various tasks, like schedule and risk assessment, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with external and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Project Manager’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards. This position is based in Hawaii, and candidates must be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule creation and management
- Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
- Help prepare, track, and report budgets
- Analyze risks and opportunities
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Work with the Program Manager to eliminate blockers
- Use tools to monitor hours, plans and expenditures
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork and final deliverables (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or similar role
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with risk, budget, and schedule management
- Strong background in RFP preparation and management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Google Sheets, MS Project, P6, ProCore, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent field
- 3+ years experience managing technical and/or civil construction projects- Familiarity or experience related to electric infrastructure preferred
