Rack Electric is seeking a skilled Project Manager with expertise in electrical systems, generator installations, and residential/commercial project oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects from planning to execution, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and permitting regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee and manage (residential/commercial) electrical and generator projects from initiation to completion.
•Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure efficient execution.
•Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for materials procurement and trade oversight (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc.).
•Provide expertise in generator systems, including installation, transfer methodology, load shedding, and ongoing maintenance
•Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
•Manage client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
•Work collaboratively with internal teams, engineers, and trade professionals to ensure seamless communication and problem resolution.
•Maintain project documentation, including schedules, cost tracking, blueprints, and compliance records.
•Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, scheduling, and document management.
Required Qualifications:
•Background in electrical work (Journeyman license is a plus).
•At least 5 years of experience as a Field Project Manager in the electrical or construction industry.
•Previous experience with field operations, scheduling, and/or contractor supervision
•Experience as a PM in generator / electrical company REQUIRED or
•Experience as a PM in Gas company REQUIRED
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to manage and motivate teams to work safely and efficiently.
•Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
•Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
