The Mechanical Engineer - Project Manager maintains overall responsibility for project(s) assigned to include execution, budget, contractual compliance and client relations with in the chemical industry.
- Develops Project Execution Plans
- Responsible for reporting on projects internally and externally
- Leads internal and client project meetings
- Communicates with discipline leads to ensure the project team understands project scopes, specifications, required deliverables and manpower requirements
- Manages relationships with clients and project team members to create an environment for project success
- Ensures project team are following GIS Engineering LLC quality standards and procedures
- Coordinates change management
- Maximizes profitability for GIS Engineering LLC
- Ensures proper project controls are in place throughout a project to include project budget (manhour/cost) and project schedule
- Performs project risk assessments
- Participates in business development activities
- Leads development of proposals, bid packages and presentations
- Ensures contract compliance
- Coordinates contract negotiations
- Independently manages multi-disciplined projects in the capital group from $500k-$5MM in value.
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of industry relevant experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- PE certification is preferred
- PMP or other project management certification is preferred
