TURBINE-X Energy, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Project & Production Manager to lead both strategic project execution and daily production operations within our Houston manufacturing facility. This hybrid leadership role is central to ensuring high-quality turbine and engine assemblies are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
The successful candidate will balance hands-on production oversight with forward-looking project management, driving continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and team development. - Oversee daily operations of Waukesha and NOVALT16 assembly stations.
- Achieve and maintain production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance.
- Manage staffing levels, shift scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Lead daily production meetings and drive accountability through clear KPIs.
- Plan and execute cross-functional projects such as station setups, process improvements, and new product introductions.
- Develop and track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and external vendors to ensure flawless execution.
- Supervise and mentor Production Leads, Assemblers, and Operators.
- Implement and manage a 3-tier career path system for shop floor roles.
- Partner with HR to create strong internal talent pipelines and leadership opportunities.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve operational efficiency.
- Standardize SOPs, work instructions, and training documentation.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive action plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (strongly preferred).
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification (a plus).- 5–7 years in manufacturing operations, including 3+ years in project or production management.
- Hands-on experience with turbine gensets, Waukesha engines, or Baker Hughes NOVALT16 turbines.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical assembly and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Skilled in production planning, workflow optimization, and vendor coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and foster accountability.
- Excellent communication skills with all organizational levels.
- Experience presenting operational and project metrics to senior leadership.
- Daily Throughput – completed assemblies per shift/station.
- First Pass Yield (FPY) – % of assemblies passing QC without rework.
- Downtime Rate – % of non-operational station time.
- Labor Efficiency – actual vs. planned labor hours per unit.
- On-Time Delivery – % of production orders completed on schedule.
- Project Completion Rate – % delivered on time and within scope.
- Budget Adherence – variance between planned and actual costs.
- Milestone Achievement – % of project phases completed on time.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction – feedback scores from internal teams.
- Defect Rate – defects per 100 units produced.
- Incident Rate – safety incidents per 1,000 hours worked.
- Training Completion – % of employees completing SOP/HSE training.
- Retention Rate – % of employees retained over 12 months.
- Internal Promotions – # of employees advancing through tiered roles.
- Engagement – employee survey scores and team feedback.
