The Project Manager is responsible for creating and managing relationships with new and existing customers. This individual could supervise a team consisting of multi-disciplined engineers and interns to execute projects they manage for their customers. Supervisor responsibilities could include timesheet review and approval, annual performance reviews, and support hiring and technical growth of the team. The Project Manager will need to ensure team members are properly trained and supported to complete assignments efficiently, effectively, and to a high level of quality while complying with customer standards and PRS processes. It is expected that the Project Manager works on billable project work at least 70% of the time. The Project Manager will need to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining quality and safety. This manager should also be in close contact with the VP of Operations and other managers to ensure processes are followed and refined if/when needed. The Project Manager will need to be flexible as there will be many project types, so familiarity with multiple disciplines and support across teams and levels is important.

- Complete a kickoff meeting for every project, internally as well as externally.
- Ensure meeting minutes are logged and distributed to the team after each meeting.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with the customers and team members during weekly project meetings.
- Ensure team members have the tools, training, and customer standards necessary to complete their jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Develop, review, and update resource and project schedules on a weekly basis.
- Generate and maintain a deliverable tracker for each project.
- Ensure every deliverable has been thoroughly reviewed and quality checked by an independent reviewer while complying with customer standards and PRS processes.
- Offer technical support and guidance throughout the project as required. Sometimes this may require deliverable development support and/or review.
- Create and submit cash flows and invoices to the customer and finance team.
- Provide feedback to support PRS in constantly refining and improving processes.
- Ensure the team follows the PRS processes to complete the assigned work within the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget to a high level of quality and safety.
- Complete project close-out packages and follow up with the customer to survey satisfaction and develop any lessons learned to share with the team.
- Collaborate with other team members as you work towards a common goal.
- Follow all PRS processes and provide feedback during weekly meetings.
- Participate in sales calls or meetings as necessary to support company growth.
- Responsible for timesheet review and approval of group per pay period.
- Conduct annual performance reviews involving anonymous peer feedback and share with the employee.
- Support the hiring process and growth of the team.
- B.S. or B.A. degree.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the electric power system industry involving protection and control, automation and integration, and/or testing and commissioning OR project management/supervision.
- Preferred Professional Engineering license or EIT in process of obtaining PE or PMP.
- Willing to travel a minimum of 25% per year. Travel may be to customer sites that are outdoors and involved working in the elements.
