BQE are hiring a Project Manager to join our talented engineering department our brand-new head office in Mount Pleasant. We develop innovative technological wastewater treatment solutions for international mining industry clients, helping them to meet stringent regulations, extract mineral value from waste, and protect water as a shared natural resource - all whilst encouraging and promoting socially responsible operations. The Opportunity
Reporting to senior management, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects including ensuring that the project team meets schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements. The successful candidate will lead teams, prepare project plans, manage project budgets and schedules as well as be involved in engineering, procurement, fabrication of equipment and commissioning of plants. Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Effectively lead technical teams, build credibility and trust, whilst mentoring junior contributors.
•Strong project administration skills to oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling and cost control responsibilities.
•Facilitate client interactions and other stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth project progression and successful delivery through excellent communication (written and oral).
•Maintain an understanding of water treatment processes
•Have a broad technical aptitude and be able to communicate effectively on technical topics across multiple disciplines and with tradespeople.
•Write and review technical documentation including project reports, change documentation, and engineering deliverables.
•Participate in the preparation of process design documentation.
•Plan project delivery by efficiently allocating resources and manage changes to meet project demands.
•Oversee and manage change, including cause and effects between disciplines and requirements to manage impacts to projects technically, financially, resources, plans, and schedules.
•Contribute to the development and imprpovement of project management processes and systems.
•Provide feedback to line manager on engineering deliverable execution and internal engineering processes.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelors’ or graduate degree in engineering or equivalent certification or experience in construction management.
•Project Management Certification is an asset (PMP, CAPM)
•2+ years of Project Management experience
•5+ years experience in industrial project delivery
•Registered professional engineer with ECBC is an asset.

Compensation
$80,000-130,000 based on experience, education and skillset for this full-time, in-person Monday to Friday position.
