The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project scopes, preparing estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, conducting site visits, and ensuring that proposals are complete, competitive, and aligned with our standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who understands (or is eager to learn) SWPPP, BMPs, erosion control practices, hydroseeding, stormwater compliance, and environmental field services—or someone with transferable construction estimating experience who is willing to train.
Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work.
Perform site visits to assess project conditions and verify quantities.
Develop proposals, quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, and material lists.
Work closely with other Estimators, Project Managers, Dispatch, and Field Supervisors to ensure accurate pricing and alignment with operational capacity.
Assist with change orders, and customer onboarding for awarded projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local specifications, state requirements, and industry best practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, and internal teams.
1–3 years of experience in estimating OR strong transferable construction experience with willingness to train.
Ability to interpret plans, maps, and construction drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
Experience in SWPPP, erosion control, environmental services, or civil construction.
Knowledge of BMP installation, hydromulching/hydroseeding, and stormwater regulations.
