Primarily responsible for technical support in the research, development, and implementation of new process concepts, improvements to existing process equipment, and associated facilities. The employee will communicate with resources both internal and external to identify and recommend equipment best suited for process goals then oversee the necessary resources to implement these processes. Engage in technical communication within the team, and communicate progress and/or needed support to the Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate for this position would be interested in developing the skillset of an engineering technician.

9. Ability to create technical drawings of components, and plant layout drawings to determine scale of process equipment.
10. Perform mechanical tasks associated with proof of concepts and installation of equipment.
11. Ability to communicate and provide direction to contracted resources.
1. Ideal for someone seeking an engineer degree.
2. Part-time up to 30 hours a week.
3. Strong mechanical acumen. Work history including mechanical work is a plus
4. General knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, heating and cooling, HVAC, and electrical systems.
5. Basic knowledge of automated controls and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is a plus.
6. Experience and/or coursework with CAD software. 3D modeling a plus, but not required.
8. PC experience; ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
9. Capable of safe operation of forklift and scissor lift.
11. Ability to lift 50 lbs. on occasion without assistance.
12. Ability to climb up and down ladders on occasion.
13. Ability to hear alarms and sound of operating machinery.
