The Project Controls Lead (PCL) is responsible for integrating people, processes, and tools needed for project controls, including estimating, scheduling, cost management, change management, and continuous improvement. The PCL provides information needed to establish baselines, identify variances, and take corrective actions to meet project performance targets.
- Implement common estimating, cost, and planning processes, procedures, and standards for projects.
- Provide cost controls support to ensure program suite delivery.
- Ensure project controls are integrated across all projects and programs.
- Ensure compliance with the customer’s Project Controls Process.
- Ensure Project Controls personnel within the program teams utilize proper tools and processes for Project Service requirements.
- Provide relevant project management information to support the Leadership Team.
- Deliver monthly reports, forecasts, VOWD, Stage Gate Reviews, and ad hoc reporting for assigned projects.
- Inform Project Controls personnel of requirements and ensure proper training for compliance.
- Understand and apply the Supply Chain strategic sourcing strategy.
- Coordinate Personnel on Board (POB) scheduling activities to maintain platform asset availability.
- Communicate accurate project information as the representative for the overall program.
- Attend and contribute to Stage Gate Reviews.
- Develop and maintain an integrated milestone-based Level 1 Schedule.
- Assign projects to Cost Engineers and Schedulers within the program.
- Review all WBS proposals to ensure compliance.
- Seek and participate in formal training provided by the customer and ensure team participation.
- Communicate and ensure accuracy of Resource Requirements.
- Review and approve variance analysis, recovery plans, change order basis, MoCs, Stage Gate Review deliverables, and basis documents (cost, schedule, and estimates).
- Maintain schedules utilizing Primavera.
- 5 years of project experience.
- Experience in coordinating POB scheduling activities to optimize platform assets.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate and learn various software databases.
- Ability to learn and utilize new skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead in group settings.
- Ability to read and comprehend job descriptions, safety policies, and procedures.
