THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented Project Buyer to help drive the success of our exciting projects!
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, as a Project Buyer, you will play a critical role in the procurement process, ensuring that the materials, goods, and services needed for various projects are sourced efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and timely project execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Determine inventory parameters, manage purchase orders, communicate delivery schedules and expedite materials
•Plan and execute procurement of BOM components, inventory, and raw materials as required
•Coordinate with suppliers, providing order status and tracking
•Review and update current product and service availability information and initiate communication bulletins as required
•Responsible for communicating supplier performance
•Communicate with Quality Managers to report non-conformances both external and internal
•Prepare and manage your reporting as well as analyze statistical data relating to them
•Ensure any inconsistencies with orders are resolved in a timely manner
•Manage effective relationships with members of the Purchasing and Production teams by utilizing key negotiation skills
•Review and assist in the development of all current purchasing systems as they relate to your role
•Attend Purchasing and whiteboard meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Trade Certification or Supply Chain Management Designation is an asset
•3-5 years of Purchasing experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
•Be highly motivated and maintain a positive attitude with the ability to work in a demanding, fast paced and challenging environment
•Be able to adapt to change and embrace a shared mission
•Applies knowledge of Supply Chain end-to-end processes and functions and can explain to others
•Complies with Bidell’s policies and best practices in daily work
•Shows initiative in meeting or exceeding work schedule
•Applies understanding of Bidell’s operational strategies, processes, and interaction with others for daily work.
•Demonstrates use of data control concepts and can explain these to the Team
