Description:
•Operates, monitors and helps maintain machine/equipment (press, welders, cranes, forklifts, etc.)
•Feeds equipment and tooling
•Performs or assists in die changes
•Move parts and products to appropriate positions
•Perform daily operational checks to ensure safety
•Perform quality checks and verify quality (first, middle, and last off’s, PQI books, SPC etc.)
•Assist quality and maintenance personnel with issues related to production
•Wears all required safety equipment and ensures area and environment is safe
•Conduct daily cleaning of work area
•Repair product as required
•Identify and document problems, set goals, tracks progress and works with teams to implement solutions
•Report issues and concerns to Team Leader or Supervisor
•Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management System standards
•Watch for potential concerns or issues
•Train other operators and document in matrix
•Be self-directed and encourage continuous improvement through involvement and input
•Meet production efficiencies and maintain quality checks
•Tag and move parts, containers, and totes
•Process coil paperwork as required
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment
•Maintain focus and attention on press at all times while in operation
•Remove scrap from press area and place in proper locations
•Ability to drive a forklift or ability to learn how to drive a forklift
•Band and shrink wrap materials
•Maintain an accurate count of parts produced
Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED
•At least 1 year progressive die operator in stamping facility
•Ability to lift/push/pull weight at times anywhere from 10 to 40 lbs.
•Ability to stand/walk/move for up to 10 hours
•Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety guidelines
•Good communication skills
•Ability to work independently
•Maintain a good attendance record
•Experience operating a forklift
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment
•Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.
