Job Summary
The Production Worker, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. This position will partake in the use of machinery in order to cut or move steel. This role will also perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools and will be required to record and report defective equipment. Production Workers must possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, as well as maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Duties
•Pull material from the warehouse in order to feed and unload the processing machines
•Daily use of machinery such as: overhead crane, bender, shear, schnell bender, and flip bar accurately and efficiently
•Assist in loading the trucks with orders in a safe and timely manner
•Ensure compliance with company policies and standards to ensure safety and success are achieved
•Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools; record and report defective equipment
•Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
•Maintain a clean and organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
•Maintain effective labour relations through compliance with company policies, labour agreements, resolution of employee grievances, and fair treatment of employees
•Communicate with supervisors, process control, machine operators, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments

•Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
•Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
•Ability to perform strenuous physical labour (i.e. Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 pounds)
•Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
•Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
•Demonstrates outstanding attention to detail

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Experience is considered an asset
Work Conditions
•Exposure to hazards such as: high winds, dust, heat, and risk
•Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
