Production Safety Lead

Who We Are

Standard Tools and Equipment Co. has been proudly manufacturing paint booths in our Greensboro, NC metal shop for more than 25 years. You can learn more about us at www.paint-booths.com. We sell across every industry, all over the world—and our spray booths are used to paint just about everything. In addition to booths, our ETL-certified electrical department builds air makeup units (big heaters that supply fresh, tempered air) and control boxes for our booths.

The Role

We’re seeking a Production Lead to assist our Production Manager with operations and safety programs. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:

- Help oversee daily production operations

- Help manage inventory on the floor

- Support and enforce workplace safety initiatives

- Step in as backup to the Production Manager when needed

- Gain broad experience in a small, collaborative manufacturing environment

What We’re Looking For

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility is required, sheet metal preferred.

- Proficiency in operating forklifts is preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly line processes.

- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in manufacturing operations.

- Can easily use computer programs

- Safety-oriented with OSHA-30 and a passion for improvement

- A natural leader who values teamwork, organization, and accountability. Someone eager to grow their skills in production leadership and safety management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
