As Lead, Health & Safety for the Red Chris Block Cave Project, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our people and operations. You will develop, coordinate, and maintain project-specific health and safety plans that meet regulatory requirements, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement in a complex underground mining environment.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on health and safety performance.
- Recommend and implement effective risk controls.
- Provide guidance and technical support to operational teams.
- Facilitate safety leadership among supervisors and managers.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team that promotes collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
Requirements to Succeed in This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety systems, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in risk management, investigations, and emergency response.
- Competence in project management, data analysis, and compliance monitoring.
- Leadership and communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams.
You will be based at the Red Chris Block Cave Project, working in a high-altitude underground mining setting. This role requires adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace in a dynamic project environment.
