ChampionX is seeking a
Production Plannerfor our NW Houston facility. As a valuable member of the Operations Team, the Planner will be responsible for planning production schedules and direct material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of goods and materials to meet customer requirements.

- Oversee the forecasting, planning, scheduling and workflow process. Working daily with Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Sales to ensure customer expectations are meet and exceeded.
- Review accuracy of order quantities and confirming finish good inventories needed 1-3 weeks out by communicating the production schedule for each product to meet fulfillment of future order dates.
- Analyze current and future raw material levels and finish goods inventory levels to plan production schedule for 2-3 weeks out. Communicate with Procurement on any raw material or ingredient needs.
- Set master production planning, material requirements planning and production scheduling metrics targets.
- Coordinates inventory levels relative to manufacturing capacity and capability; compiles and schedules orders and ensure optimal production levels.
- Assist Production Management in directing and managing assembly operations for production priorities and ensure they are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Oversee and enhanced SOP for capturing granular details in our current inventory process Work with sales on contract volumes to ensure materials and production meet order frequency.
- Maintain high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
- Utilizing business volume history, customer demands and production output metrics, develop a structured forecasting system to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.
- In conjunction with the Production Manager define workflow processes for the operations.
- Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of production planning experience
- If no degree, minimum of 9 years of master production scheduling experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in analyzing data relating to product forecasting, master scheduling, or shipment forecasting
- Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong Oracle or similar systems, and Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
