Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes and ensuring efficient scheduling of manufacturing operations. Responsible for planning of production in Rod breakdown, plating, annealing and draw cell.
1. Assist with scheduling orders to be run across machines in Rod Breakdown, Annealing, Plating, and Draw Cell. Utilize historical data to provide operator instructions for production.
2. Assist with quoting material from customer inquiry based upon available time to give quoted lead times.
3. Assess lead time and capacity for cells to provide feedback to customers, sales, and management
-WIP: Maintain sufficient levels of redraw to supply the wire plant
-Raw Material: Work with purchasing to maintain metals inventories
5. Maintain integrity of LX inventory by working with engineering to correct BOMs
· Knowledge of site processes, equipment, and infrastructure.
· Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety procedures.
· Skill in analyzing information of considerable difficulty and drawing valid conclusions; evaluating and implementing new methods and techniques for operational improvement; researching and gathering information related to vendors, contractors, equipment, and supplies.
· Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
· Skill in motivating, communicating with, and instructing/training others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes.
Skill in oral communications for persuasive, training, and technical purposes and in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with other employees and the general public.
· Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to loud noise. Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity, moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosive fumes, or airborne particles.
· Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see.
· May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
· Required to wear personal protective equipment regularly: hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear. The incumbent will be required to wear the following PPE as needed: respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing (rain suit, etc.), gloves, and other PPE as determined to protect the individual.
