The Junior Transfer Press Operator supports metal stamping operations within our manufacturing facility. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting with the setup, operation, and monitoring of transfer press equipment under the direct supervision of senior press operators.
· Assist in the operation of transfer press machines in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions and record daily production output in the JobBOSS2 system.
· Work under the direction of senior press operators to support press setups, die changes, and production runs – this will include maintaining coolant levels and concentrations
· Load and unload parts and materials into the press using appropriate tools and handling methods.
· Moving product, and scrap to designated areas.
· Monitor press operations to ensure continuous production and identify any basic issues or malfunctions. This includes basic PM activities such as press lubrication and maintenance of press lube systems.
· Perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and report discrepancies to senior operators or quality personnel.
· Keep the work area clean and organized, following 5S principles and housekeeping standards.
· Adhere to safety guidelines and always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Participate in training programs to develop skills in press operation, die setup, and quality control.

· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn stamping press operations.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
· Good attention to detail, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and work various shifts as needed.

This position operates in a manufacturing facility with exposure to mechanical equipment, press noise, oil and lubricants, and moving machinery. PPE is required, and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
