Canduct is seeking a highly organized and proactive Work Preparation & Planning Coordinator to manage daily planning, inventory control, and administrative processes for our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operation at the PPI Athens facility. This role leads an 8-person team, supports production needs, and ensures accurate, timely flow of insulation materials to PPI’s transformer manufacturing lines.
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly production and coordinate rush orders with PPI.
- Supervise an 8-person team: staffing, scheduling, time-off approval, and performance support.
- Maintain accurate inventory through daily counts, adjustments, and MRP parameter updates.
- Enter daily production into Visual ERP and monitor transactional accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute required production, shipping, and receiving documents.
- Coordinate maintenance, supplies, and equipment repair with internal and external vendors.
- Lead quarterly and year-end physical inventory counts.
- Resolve material, delivery, and quality issues with PPI and internal teams.
- Manage on-site HR-related processes in coordination with Boardman HR.
- Conduct safety toolbox talks and support site-wide safety expectations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain correct stock levels through proactive cycle counting, ERP accuracy, and timely material replenishment.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure employees, materials, documentation, and equipment are prepared daily to support PPI’s production requirements.
- Team Performance: Deliver consistent supervision, communication, and workforce coordination for an effective on-site team.
- Customer Service: Provide responsive, professional support to PPI, addressing issues quickly and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Canduct and PPI safety standards, documentation requirements, and process controls.
- Production Data Integrity: Guarantee accurate and timely ERP entries to support MRP, billing, and operational reporting.- 3+ years in production planning, inventory coordination, or operations support (manufacturing preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems (Visual strongly preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise, prioritize, and coordinate a small team in a dynamic environment.
- Health & Safety driven attitude
- General computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in electrical, transformer, or industrial component manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of lean/continuous improvement tools (5S, visual management, root-cause analysis).
- Prior VMI, warehouse lead, or production planning leadership experience.
- Familiarity with quality control documentation and customer-facing issue resolution.
- Forklift or equipment maintenance coordination experience.
- Training experience or ability to onboard new employees.
- Strong Excel, data-entry accuracy, or inventory analytics capabilities.
