Product Engineer

List Industries, a leading provider of lockers, industrial cabinets, and shelving systems, is looking for a Product Engineer for its team in Deerfield Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience with the manufacture of wood and phenolic products.

· Create drawings, CNC programs, BOM’s/routings for new and existing products.

· Work with production team on making product design changes to improve productivity, quality, ease of assembly, or other objectives.

· Create Bills of Material & Job Routings for wood, phenolic, & sheet metal items.

Basic Qualifications:

· 2+ years of experience in a sheet metal and/or wood panel intensive manufacturing plant.

· Associates degree; B.S. in Engineering – Mechanical or Industrial preferred.

· A sense of urgency and flexibility to respond to changing demands/priorities.

· Ability to function independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision with good interpersonal skills.

· Analytical with strong problem-solving skills

· Takes ownership of deliverables produced and their quality.

Things that will make you stand out:

· Programming of CNC routers and/or turret punch presses.

· Experience in both an OEM and job shop environment.

· A strong background in a product design and manufacturing support.

· Design from scratch of wood & sheet metal components and assemblies using AutoCad and 3D CAD – Solidworks strongly preferred.

· BOM management using MRP/ERP systems.

· Hands-on, floor-support experience working with shop employees.
