The Procurement Agent III is a senior role within the function. This position is responsible for providing Procurement support from quotation to delivery using current systems and processes. Incumbent shall provide this support through excellent customer service to Project Management and Field personnel. This will include RFI/RFP/RFQ activities when relevant or able, negotiating, analyzing quotation(s) for total value, creating, verifying, and editing purchase and rental orders/contracts/ or requests and submitting orders to FTI’s network of suppliers. Incumbent may perform other clerical duties related to the Procurement team. Additional responsibilities will be to identify, qualify, and contact potential vendors to receive bids/quotes, establish commercial terms, and/or to recommend alternative vendor options to our customers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, possess a basic knowledge of the electrical construction trade, and proven track record of understanding Procure to Pay functionality, including FTI processes, and practices. As a seasoned member of the Procurement team, this person shall from time-to-time act as an informal mentor/trainer to develop other less experienced Procurement Agents to help raise their collective capability and delivery of value to FTI.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics/Procurement, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: equivalent on the job experience to a BA, typically with 5-10 years as a Procurement Buyer.

Travel: 15%-20% with periodic travel to FTI office and or Job site locations.

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Conflict Management

Functional/Technical Skills

Applies Purchasing/trade material knowledge to each transaction.
Prepares purchase orders using established purchasing procedures.
Works with customers to establish clear bill of materials (BOM) with appropriate specifications for materials to be purchase.
participates in the RFP process preparations for bid evaluation and vendor selection.
Consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service skills to internal and external customers.
Expedites freight, supplier shipments, deliveries, and/or pickups consistent with appropriate INCOTERMS as appropriate.
Applies training and or professional development to their everyday work practices.
Applies contract pricing to purchase materials (or make recommendations).
Working knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis, applying it to daily work.
Applies and interprets standard supply chain theories, concepts, tools and techniques to Procurement.
Regularly meets with vendor reps to develop value added options resulting in increased productivity, cost efficiency or value. Sets agenda, coordinates internal/external invitations/facilitates discussion.
Helps to improve P2P processes, procedures, and overall efficiency.
Considered a subject matter expert within Procurement function, able to help, guide, mentor or teach others.


Negotiating

Negotiates competently and is able to ID and apply value across a spectrum of business needs/situations.
Able to assist in translating negotiation outcomes into supplier agreements/contracts.
Prepares trade plans and actively participates in medium to large negotiations with the aid and support of cross functional teams/stakeholders.

Has a good sense of timing; understands how to open a negotiation with "aim high" and where our "bottom line" is.
Communicates the summary of a negotiation and the value drove.
Applies negotiated value into a commercial agreement.
