Process Technician - 1st Shift
Job Summary
Responsible for leading and overseeing equipment set-up, adjustments, performing autonomous maintenance, and training team members to ensure production is accomplished safely while adhering to our strict quality guidelines in an efficient and productive manner.
Job Duties
- Able to lead and train team members in the proper techniques for operation, setup, and equipment/die adjustments based on safety, quality, and cycle time requirements.
- Assist Maintenance Technicians and Engineering in installation, debugging, repair, modification, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Develop and implement procedures utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties, and characteristics of metals, metal alloys, and engineering principles.
- Conduct research and development projects to develop new or modify current methods, techniques, and procedures.
- Able to methodically troubleshoot setup and equipment issues and effectively determine root causes and countermeasures.”
- Able to conceptualize, design, fabricate, and build items to aid in or improve current manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation
- Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform work under direct supervision
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
- Possess beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment
- Ability to interpret work instructions
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to read and understand measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, ect.)
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects
- Manual dexterity
- Physical stamina
