Maintenance Technician 3 - 2795

Apply electrical theory and related knowledge, assists engineers in the design, evaluation, and repair of electrical equipment.

Job Duties

- Provide complex technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during and after construction

- Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments

- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems

- Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems

- Draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of experimental electronics units

- Install, repair, modify and upgrade industrial control systems; control systems may be relay controlled, microprocess based on PLC logic (i.e., PLC programming and troubleshooting)

- Conduct inspection for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations

- Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot robotics and all components

- Ability to program and touch up programs in automated machinery

- Ability to repair and trouble shoot all mechanical related issues

- Ability to inspect and diagnose mechanical related problems

- Ability to check all mechanical tolerances if needed.

- Prepare project cost and work-time estimates when needed

- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

- Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

- Perform work under minimal supervision

- Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff

- Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter

- Certificate from technical school or applicable skilled trades programand 4 to 6 years of experience

- Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
