The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Print Operator to join our production team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position involves operating digital thermal transfer printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for color accuracy, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining printing equipment, ensuring print quality, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to safety and quality control standards. Prior experience in digital printing and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools are preferred.
Responsibilities:
As a Print Operator, you will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for:
•Completing production orders in the correct priority sequence by properly preparing each one according to its specifications before starting the printing process.
•Downloading and configuring print runs from the correct file.
•Distinguishing and selecting appropriate colors between different shades.
•Adjusting print programs to improve print registration accuracy.
•Inspecting and monitoring print output for quality, noting items needing reprint.
•Splicing new material onto the printer, ensuing alignment and smoothness.
•Maintaining quality control standards and focus on minimizing scrap.
•Troubleshooting basic printer issues.
•Collaborating and providing feedback to the production team.
•Performing all duties in accordance with plant safety guidelines, safe work practices, and applicable regulations.
•Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.

What You Bring
•2-3 years of professional experience (preferred)
•Experience with operating digital thermal printing, or similar equipment
•Operation of a manual pallet jack and counterbalance forklift is a plus (experience an asset)
•Knowledge of 4 color process printing, understanding screens and density.
•Some knowledge of DOS a plus.
•Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
