Expected salary range of
$139,500 to $155,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
The Principal Product Manager works in Constellation's Portfolio Management business. The Principal Product Manager works with Sales and Portfolio Management to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing products. Product Managers are also involved in vetting product ideas brought forward by other functional groups. Once the product idea has been approved the Principal Product Manager works to get the product prioritized and works on developing the product and creating an implementation plan. They work across functional groups like Sales, Pricing, Legal, Operations, Credit, Marketing, etc. to ensure that each functional group executes their part of the plan. The Principal Product Manager would need to understand the workflow of the product and all the relevant systems that would need change to accommodate the new product. Product managers would be responsible for training the various functional groups when the product is ready to be deployed. Post implementation the Product Manager would ensure that the Product is working as expected and in the long run should track profitability and modify the product to adjust to changing markets and needs. The Principal Product Manager will also assist with ensuring that retail risk positions are accurately and completely represented in the organization's risk systems. This will involve getting familiar with the end-to-end retail process and related systems.
