Job Summary
The Principal Engineer – Electrical/I&C in Engineering Services provides subject matter expertise, governance, oversight and support for electrical and I&C component-related activities at Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. The Corporate Electrical/I&C Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert and will ensure industry leading performance via a robust Preventative Maintenance program and Long Term Asset Management Strategies benchmarked against industry best practices, and will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
•Maintains expertise on Salem and Hope Creek electrical and I&C components
•Provides support to the sites on complex and strategic issues.
•Performs thirds party reviews of technical documents.
•Leads complex engineering analysis and technical issues beyond the capabilities of the sites.
•Supports common projects affecting both sites as part of business and project planning.
•Supports resolution of industry issues that affect both sites.
•Represents PSEG Nuclear, leads, and influences decision-making at the industry level.
•Provides oversight and recommendations for routine assessments, outage readiness and preparation for outside organizational assessments.
•Benchmarks industry best practices and incorporates learnings into programs/processes.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
•BS degree in Engineering, Science or Technology.
•Minimum of 15 years experience directly related to electrical/I&C component management, maintenance, and technical support.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Flexibility with changing priorities and changing ways of doing business.
•Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted site access.
Desired:
•Nuclear power plant experience, advanced technical degree.
