Expected salary range of $164,700 to $183,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
As a member of the Constellation Nuclear Cyber Security team, the Principal Engineer performs advanced technical problem solving, solution design, and issue resolution while acting as a resource and subject matter expert for plant Operational Technology systems such as the Defensive Architecture to include SIEM, firewalls, data diodes, and other assets that monitor plant process computers, data historians and core monitoring systems in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Functions with industry-recognized level of expertise in a technical area.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Consult with leadership, project teams, support teams and end users to support availability and perform feasibility analysis for potential changes related to Operational Technology systems. Provide technical expertise for maintaining performance and reliability of applicable performance indicators and business plan goals
- Provide feedback to leadership and peers for risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain relevancy and knowledge in current and evolving emerging networking technologies.
- Maintain relevancy and knowledge in current and emerging technologies, industry trends within all OT disciplines or functions.
- Establish the design, configuration, deployment, and operation of Cyber Security systems and applications and assist with the migration of existing applications to new platforms.
- Lead the development of future technology road maps, resource requirements, migration strategies, and project schedules. Participate in refresh or redesign required during upgrades in accordance with Long Term Asset Management (LTAM) strategies. Create documentation to install, replace, and upgrade components and systems. Comprehend technologies and service offerings within the industry. Create requirement documents, SOW, logical & physical architecture diagrams, and implementation plans to integrate into nuclear plant environments.

- Develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities including, but not limited to, personnel, budgetary accountabilities, and planning goals with respect to Cyber Security personnel.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Cyber Security, or others as approved by CISO) with a 8-years of experience in a technology field (OT, IT, Engineering, or related industry experience), or an associate degree with 10-years of related experience, or a 12-years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Advanced technical skills in vendor software management, data analysis, and application development, with extensive experience in operational technology/process control systems
- Recognized fleet and industry subject matter expert with noted authority in a designated area of concentration
- Master of Business Administration or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Certification in area of expertise
