Summary: The power supply rates analyst is responsible to analyze wholesale electricity rates and rate design initiatives and inform development and negotiation of customer-specific rates in alignment with Great River Energy’s (GRE) strategic imperatives.
A typical starting range for this position is $102,000 - $140,000 + annually. We offer market competitive base pay and adjust our offer accordingly based upon the value of the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications: Knowledge typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, business, engineering or related field is required. A minimum of five years of experience analyzing contracts, rates and tariffs for electric utilities or other analytical experience is required. An advanced degree in business administration, public policy or related field may be substituted for experience. Very strong analytical, organizational, and communications skills are required. Familiarity with utility cost of service studies, electric rate design approaches, and cooperative business model is helpful.
