The Part-Time Post Harvest Technician plays a vital role within our operations including but not limited to: performing tasks related to harvesting, trimming, laying, drying, curing, and quality control. This position is very much hands on, detail oriented, repetitive in nature, & requires strong attention to detail. Those who would excel in this position are detail oriented but able to think, see, and also take action resulting towards a quality end goal that is very much part of a bigger picture.
Responsibilities:

- Takes direction from the Post Harvest & Operations Manager
- Responsible for performing tasks related to harvesting, trimming, drying, laying, curing, and quality control.
- Responsible for recording and reporting data related to the process to the Harvest Team Lead.
- Responsible for recording and reporting weight of any excess product that is considered waste.
- Assists in cleaning and facility maintenance tasks including sweeping, ensuring a clean and organized working environment, and sanitation of equipment.
- Maintains a culture of professionalism and service.
- Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Performs in a manner consistent with the goals and values of the company.

- Post Harvest Technician Duties:
- Pay attention with meticulous detail to the quality control of all processes in harvesting.
- Work with team members to complete all dry takedown functions.
- Hand trimming, use sterilized scissors or shears to trim remaining leaves from the plant to separate medical marijuana flower from medical marijuana trim.
- When using machine trimmers, prep and sterilize proper equipment, monitor plant input and output to ensure successful process.
- Perform a final manicure and inspection of all harvested and trimmed medical marijuana raw material to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Employment Standards:
Education – High school diploma required. A bachelor's degree in Business, Botany, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields is preferred.
Experience – Experience working in a large grow operation with experience hand and/or machine trimming. Familiarity with molds, mildews, and pest. Strong understanding or ability to be trained on the electronic tracking system.

Special Requirements – Must be 18 years of age or older. A pre-employment drug test is required for this position. Random drug testing may be instituted. Ability to pass a background check. The employee must be capable of standing, walking, handling with fingers, and reaching outward frequently. Repetitive use of trimmers and other specialized hand tools is required. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
