Pole truck or Winch truck driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, flatbed, and refrigerated trailer operations. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks for the transportation of freight.

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.

- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and road regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport.

- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential issues on the route.

- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations to ensure safety on the road.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.

- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized truck types is a plus.

- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is highly desirable.

- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading/unloading equipment safely.

- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and route driving logistics.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
