Responsible for the safe and efficient operations & general maintenance of all plant assets. Shift work is required.
- Responsible for the safe operations of natural gas processing plants with minimal supervision.
- Able to recognize major plant upsets and respond to same in a safe a proper manner.
- Monitors pressures, levels, temperatures, gauges and product flows.
- Adjusts plant to changing conditions.
- Assists in Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plans (PSM/RMP).
- Ability to operate compressors as needed.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Three to five years plant operator experience.
- Experience in oil and gas preferred.
- Able to work alone on a shift schedule.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with Mustang designated standards.
- Good crisis management skills.
- Have strong multi-taking skills.
- Be results-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work.
- Be forward-thinking with the ability to think creatively and help develop recommended solutions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods.
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, operate valves, adjust controls, and perform equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as required by plant operations.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in a plant environment, often in extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, pressurized equipment, and hazardous chemicals.
- Frequent exposure to potentially hazardous conditions where strict adherence to safety protocols is essential.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as flame-resistant clothing (FRC), safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.
- Must follow all Mustang Fuel Corporation safety procedures and report potential hazards or incidents immediately.
