- Become “operator certified” in both forklift and Bob Cat operation
- Operate forklift and/or Bob Cat equipment throughout the processing plant and materials yard
- Identify problems with your equipment to ensure safe operation
- Recognize metals by pattern, color, configuration, and other means to grade them accurately
- Load and unload trucks
- Load and unload tubs and containers of metal product
- Scoop and move loose metal products
- Add and remove tubs, containers, and loose product from inventory
- Operate separators to upgrade products
- Hand-work metals to grade, separate and remove impurities
- Perform all baler duties, including operating, cleaning, and maintenance
- Preventative maintenance of any equipment

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good safety record from previous employment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience with recycling or sustainability
