To weld and fabricate TPU & PVC fabric parts in accordance with specification and per company standards and procedures.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lb on a regular basis.
- Clean, prepare, position, and align parts that need to be welded
- Set up and operate the high-frequency welding equipment to weld, repair, join or fabricate parts by working with blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions
- Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications
- Perform seam finishing and component fit-up
- Move material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area as needed
- Complete Quality Control sheets for each job
- Report any discrepancies in material to management
- When adequately trained, correctly and responsibly use a range of power tools and workshop machines such as drills, clamps, and lifting equipment
- Maintain tools, gauges and equipment in clean, orderly and safe manner
- Fully support and participate in all company safety policies and procedures and attend all required safety meetings
- Work efficiently and consistently
- Keep work area well organized during production and clean up after yourself
- HS Diploma or equivalent; three or more years of work-related experience
- Good communication skills, including listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e. fractions, measuring, geometry)
- Skilled at reading and interpreting blue prints and technical drawings
- Willingness to develop skills and knowledge in the high-frequency fabric (TPU / PVC) welding process
- Able to listen and follow instructions and ask for help when necessary
