Experienced Process Plant Designer is needed to design and detail SSW water treatment plants and skidded products. Major components of plant design include Piping Spools and Interconnecting Piping, Structural Steel, platforms and walkways, tanks, and custom products for water treatment systems. All products and systems are designed with AutoCAD Plant 3D to produce high quality 2D drawing packages for client approval, fabrication, erection, and inclusion in operations manuals. The P&ID’s are also developed in Plant 3D linked to process piping in the 3D model. Ideal candidate will have experience in the full suite of AutoCAD Plant 3D.
The successful candidate will be able to layout a safe, operable, and maintainable plant design from the project constraints and the P&ID’s – working closely with the Project Engineer. Designer is responsible to design/draw complete all details of seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis systems and conventional surface water treatment systems. The designer will produce designs for equipment/piping, piping tie-ins, equipment arrangement drawings, bill of materials (BOM), piping supports, steel tanks, access walkways and all other fabricated items around the desalination plant. Must have piping design skills, and ability to visualize items within a 3D space to ensure no interference upon installation. Must be able to work with Project Engineers to gather measurement data from existing water/ reverse osmosis equipment. Proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D is required and will be tested.
