Planner, Mill Maintenance

About This Job

Summary

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent, the Mill Maintenance Planner will be focused on providing support to enhance the effectiveness of the mill operations and maintenance teams at the Mt Milligan mine.

Responsibilities

•

Develop and communicate the, daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans to all affected departments

•

Participate and lead root cause failure investigation analysis as required

•

Monitor the implementation of the plan, and coordinate changes as required

•

Create Work Orders of all “approved” non-emergency work requests

•

Manage and control the storage and release of all parts and/or materials required for job “planned” jobs

•

Manage the work order back log for all physical assets requiring maintenance in their area of responsibility

•

Reviews all “completed” work orders to ensure all relevant job information is captured in the equipment/component repair history file

•

Management of special projects and subcontractors

Education & Experience

•

Mechanical trade certification and a minimum of three to five years of varied maintenance experience within the mining industry, or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the operation

•

Strong computer skills with the ability to use integrated maintenance management systems and experience with MS Office software including MS Project

•

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with mill and operations personnel and senior management

•

Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Working Conditions

•

This position is based at the Mine site where camp accommodations will be provided. The work rotation seven (7) days on and seven (7) days off, working twelve (12) hour shifts.

•

The role is located at the Mount Milligan Mine, which is approximately 155 kilometers northwest of Prince George, British Columbia.

•

Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from Fort St. James and Mackenzie. Employees accessing the site from outside the region are eligible to receive a tax-free travel allowance commensurate with the distance they are required to travel.

•

Candidates must be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts.

•

Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
