Pipeline Technician

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall safety, integrity and operational working condition of field gathering systems and internal lease pipeline systems associated with the transportation of petroleum products and supports all pipeline regulatory activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

· Responsible for patrolling & leak survey of pipelines.

· Pipeline pigging and maintenance programs, experience resolving hydrate restriction issues.

· Complete appropriate documentation and reporting for inspections, maintenance, safety, regulatory, etc.

· Monitors all pipeline related issues that influence production operations and communicates necessary shut-in related information to such issues

· Experience with cathodic protection, knowledge of internal and external pipeline corrosion programs

· Right of way maintenance.

Skills and Experience

· Two years working knowledge of midstream operations, gas/liquids pipeline maintenance.

· Knowledge and experience pipe inspection, coating application, use of ultrasonic thickness gauge, pit gauge, repairing test leads, and excavation safety.

·Computer knowledge - specifically the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word and the ability to learn to use proprietary databases.

·Understands design drawings on pipeline mapping systems.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
