We are seeking an Pipeline Lead /Operations Specialist with strong experience in pipeline and central delivery point (CDP) operations in the oil and gas industry. This role will focus on the safe and efficient operation of pipelines and facilities handling LP gas, HP gas, oil, and condensate. The ideal candidate will have completed DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks and hold or be working toward certifications in pipeline integrity, corrosion control, or cathodic protection.
- Operate and monitor pipeline systems and CDP facilities, including pigging operations, energy isolation, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
- Perform pipeline integrity management tasks, including cathodic protection monitoring and corrosion control activities.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company OQ requirements.
- Manage facility operations, including selling oil to third-party vendors and overseeing measurement activities.
- Execute lockout/tagout procedures and other energy isolation tasks to maintain safe operations.
- Assist in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of pipeline and facility equipment.
- Accurately document pipeline activities, corrosion monitoring results, and operational reports.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports, track data, and maintain operational records.
- Interface with field teams, engineering, and vendors to ensure safe and compliant operations.- 3+ years of oil & gas operations experience (pipeline, production, or facility).
- NACE/AMPP Internal Corrosion or Cathodic Protection Certification, API 1169 Pipeline Construction Inspector or related API certificationsOther corrosion or integrity-related credentials highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of pigging operations, energy isolation, and pipeline commissioning/decommissioning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong safety awareness and compliance with DOT and company standards.
- Ability to work on a 14x14 rotation in Carlsbad, NM.
