Qualifications
•Minimum 8 years of industrial or commercial pipefitting experience.
•Certified Welder preferred.
•Competent in the use of an iPad for project communication and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
•Supervise and lead pipefitting crews (2–6 employees), including training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
•Ensure adherence to SPC policies, safety standards, and project specifications.
•Communicate with contractors and SPC staff to maintain project timelines and quality.
•Interpret job documents, diagrams, and SPC job-specific drawings.
•Oversee and inspect installation, modification, and repair of hydronic and steam/condensate systems.
•Perform hands-on pipefitting work including cutting, threading, soldering, brazing, pressing, grooving, and mechanical joint systems.
•Assemble systems using carbon steel (butt weld/socket weld), copper, ductile iron, PVC, and fusion systems like Aquatherm.
•Conduct pressure testing, cleaning, and flushing of hydronic systems.
•Repair and replace water, steam, air, and gas systems as needed.
•Monitor crew performance and work quality to ensure compliance with plans and codes.

•Ability to read, interpret, and apply written, oral, diagrammatic, and schematic instructions.
•Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
•Proficient in practical math, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
