Picker Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and ticketed (red seal or stiff boom unlimited) Picker Operator to join our team. As a Picker Operator, you will be responsible for safely loading and transporting goods and/or materials to various locations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our clients are looked after efficiently and on time. This position can be filled by someone looking to be an employee or contract operator.

Experience is preferred.

Requirements:

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial/standard driving record

- Valid oilfield tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO)

- Familiarity with stiff boom truck mounted cranes 30T and larger.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

- Transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment, place building/piping and other miscellaneous objects as required

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck and its equipment

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members

- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols

Skills:

- Proficient in operating a Picker

- Strong understanding of load charts, safely guiding swampers in rigging and best practices

- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures

- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record

- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and long hours of sitting or standing

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers

- Commercial driving experience preferred along with seat time operating a picker
