Patient Consultant

Lumea is a state-of-the-art surgical centre performing refractive and premium cataract procedures.

We are currently seeking a full-time Patient Consultant to join our team.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for educating patients on procedures offered at our clinic as well as scheduling and preparing patients for their upcoming appointments. This being a position that represents the core essence of our clinic, while maintaining our Gold Standard approach, we are looking for the following attributes:

Job Duties

- Responds to phone calls, emails, and communications in an efficient, timely & professional manner

- Provides a clear channel of communication and coordination to all doctors, staff, patients, vendors & referring physicians

- Educates patients on the surgical option they are deemed a candidate for, schedules their surgery and prepares them with all the necessary paperwork and information required.

Must possess the following attributes:

- Is warm, caring & provides excellent patient experiences at all times

- Ensures standard operating procedures in the clinic are adhered to at all times

- Performs all duties relating to patient education in a professional, knowledgeable fashion

- Keeps a strong pulse & knowledge base on procedures & technology offered at the clinic

- Advises the clinic manager of deficiencies that may exist & strategizes on continuous improvement plans

- Corresponds professionally & knowledgeably with referring doctors

- Completes all tasks in a timely & accurate manner with great attention to detail

- Administrative tasks such as filing, inputting data, reports & other assigned tasks as required

- Supports peers within the clinic to promote a strong team environment and is willing to cross-train in other areas as needed

Experience:

Previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic or relevant role is an asset, however, outstanding individuals who possess strong relevant skills will be considered.

Education: Minimum Grade 12 minimum

Remuneration will be based on skillset and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
