Parts Runner

NATURE OF WORK

Under supervision, does pick up/deliveries between vendors and company departments daily/as required. Also, does bank and mail runs, and other runs as needed. Also assists with the operation of the purchasing warehouse. This includes putting parts away, monitoring and maintaining inventories, and keeping the warehouse in good order.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job is located at a surface mine. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee can be exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employees can also be exposed to oils and chemicals used for cleaning and maintaining equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position has labor aspects which are very active. This requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employees will also use hand and air powered tools.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full time position. Hours may vary, however normal operating hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30a to 4:00p.
