We are looking for a Packer to join our manufacturing team. This individual should be able to work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments.
- Cleans packaging containers
- Lines and pads crates and assemble cartons
- Obtains and sorts product
- Wraps protective material around product
- Weighs containers and adjusts quantity
- Nails, glues, or closes and seals containers
- Labels containers, container tags, or products
- Sorts bundles and/or filled containers
- Packs special arrangements or selections of product
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process
- Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math abilities
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and to enter data into company software
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines in a manufacturing setting
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed
- Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
While performing the duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional loud noises. A representative wage range is included in this posting. Final wage will be based on experience.
