Westend Metals Inc is a rapidly growing, newer company in the Ottawa West area dedicated to providing high-quality metal roofing and siding products, along with custom flashings fabrication. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to be a key driver of our continued growth and success. In this role you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with both new and current clients. Your ability to analyze market trends, negotiate effectively, and deliver outstanding customer service will be crucial in this role. Duties
•Identify and target potential clients through market research and networking efforts.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.
•Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, clearly showcasing the value of what our business has to offer.
•Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer needs are met.
•Collaborate with our marketing team to develop strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
•Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business development opportunities.
•Provide expert technical sales support, promptly addressing client inquiries and resolving issues.
•Represent Westend Metals Inc at conferences, trade shows, and workshops to expand our network.
•Gather direct feedback from your clients on their challenges, needs, and preferences.
•Develop targeted outreach via email or social media to connect with prospective clients.
•Maintain meticulous records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in our CRM system.
•Conduct out of office sales visits and consultations to understand client needs, provide expert product recommendations and accurately measure for quotes.
•Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
•Travel regularly to client sites to ensure satisfaction, and drive prospective sales.
•Strategically manage your assigned sales territory, optimizing travel routes and client visits.
•Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, along with access to a reliable vehicle.
•Manage sales expenses effectively and submit timely reports.
Experience
•Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the metal or roofing industry.
•Strong account management skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
•Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-makers effectively.
•Proven ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
•Outstanding customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
•Technical sales experience is a major plus, with the ability to quickly grasp complex product offerings.
•Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
•Must hold a full G valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
•Must be 21 years of age or older for company insurance purposes.
•Proficiency in the French language is a major asset.
