Optical Coating Technician Trainee

Overview

We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual to join our team in a hands-on, entry level role as an Optical Coating Technician trainee. This position involves repetitive production tasks, basic machine operation, and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet industry standards and customer expectations. No experience in Optics is required- we'll train the right candidate.

This role offers a growth path toward becoming an Optical Coating Technician for those who show aptitude and interest in precision work and technical learning.

Duties :

· Stripping / rebuilding all coating chambers

· Bead blasting of all tooling

· Degreasing / bead blasting of all new tooling prior to handing over to VC Technicians

· Bead blast machine maintenance

· Train to operate coating chambers as time permits

· Train to degrease/clean incoming reflectors as needed

· Keeping work area in bead blast room clean and organized

· Keeping floors in coating lab. mopped twice weekly

· Bead blasting of hubs and stencils located in all VC cabinets
