- MUST be currently Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s Program in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Business Intelligence/Analytics, or related field from an accredited college or university. Juniors and above are eligible.
- Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (we will work around your school schedule and Finals).
- Length of Internship: 1 year minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the student and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
Mitsubishi Power Americas Inc. is seeking a motivated and analytical Operations Improvement Intern to join our Service Operations team supporting our Long-Term Service Agreement organization. This internship is ideal for someone passionate about continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence. You will work on real-world projects that impact efficiency, quality, and performance across the organization. The Operations Improvement Intern will play a key role in analyzing and enhancing business processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support strategic goals.
- Lead in mapping and analyzing current service workflows to identify inefficiencies.
- Support the development and maintenance of performance dashboards for the Service Operations department.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Contribute to department organized improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor process enhancements/changes.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Business Intelligence/Analytics, or a related field. Juniors and above are eligible.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 and Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.).
- Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io).
- Exposure to project management platforms is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in process improvement and operational strategy.
- Mentorship from experienced professionals in operations and analytics.
