About the role
RNWBL is seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst Intern to support our Performance Engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in renewable energy operations and analytics, working directly with performance data from solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind assets. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to apply programming knowledge to real-world energy data.
As an intern, you will assist in executing and refining automated data analysis scripts, supporting operational insights, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of asset performance reporting. If successful, this position may lead to full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
•Run and monitor internal scripts used for performance monitoring and diagnostics of utility-scale solar and wind assets
•Assist in automating repetitive reporting tasks using Python and/or SQL
•Collaborate with Performance Engineering and Operations teams to interpret data trends and anomalies
•Support documentation of operational processes and workflows
•Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives
•Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across platforms and reports
•Participate in team meetings and provide regular status updates on assigned tasks
Qualifications
•Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
•Working knowledge of Python and/or SQL is required
•Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
•Curiosity about renewable energy, sustainability, and/or power systems
Eligibility Requirements
•Must be authorized to work in the United States
•Must be available for at least 10–15 hours per week during the internship period
•Interns who demonstrate high performance and alignment with company values may be considered for full-time employment within the next year

•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
•Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
•Must be able to navigate between various software platforms and tools
